The Babylon Casino of Macau has played host to the 2017 Boyaa Macau Final for the past few days and today, the event will name a winner. The final began on October 28th and will finish up today after the final 64 battle it out for the first-place finish. A total of 745 players have competed in the poker tournament event, creating a total prize pool of HK$6,705,000. The eventual champion will be taking home HK$1,274,900 for outlasting the large field of competitors.
The playing field narrowed down to the remaining 64 players after Day 2 came to an end. Nine levels of action would take place, with this small number of players the only ones with chips left in their stack. Day 3 takes place today with players competing to see who will be the champion of this record-setting BPT Macau Final.
According to the Boyaa Poker Tour, on top of the Main Event, there are still three other side events for players to participate in. This includes a high roller event, Bubble Rush event and no-limit hold’em tournament.
As players look to return to the felt today, two players have a sizable chip lead over the competition. Hongchang Lin comes in first going into Day 3 with 569,000 while Ben Lai sits second in chips with 552,000. It will be exciting to see as the action unfolds if these two players will be able to make the final table or if others will earn a few big hands to vie for top positioning. The event finishes up today, so the winner will soon be known!
